Our Staff:

 

With over 225 years of experience inside our classrooms, our staff is a living example of dedication to nurturing and educating young children.  Each teacher or assistant teacher is professionally trained and certified by the Minnesota Department of Education or meets the standards set by the Department of Human Services. Over half of our classroom teachers hold four year degrees in education, with licensure-pre-primary, early childhood, special education, speech pathology and elementary education. In addition, they are required to continue their professional and personal development by attending classes, workshops and conferences for early childhood educators.

What do we do all day long?

 

Our days are a perfect blend of teacher directed and child-initiated activities.  Our structured, formal activities are planned for the early part of the day, when children are at their best for learning,  They are full of energy and their minds are most receptive to new information and more involved tasks.  Later in the day, we focus on quiet rest time (after lunch) and independent activities.  Included in both halves of the day is scheduled large muscle time.  This may include organized games, indoor gym time, or outdoor play.
